Skoda Introduces New Logo And Vision 7S Concept | Motoroids

Skoda is ready to enter a new phase by unveiling the brand’s latest logo. With this new logo, the carmaker is aiming to adapt electrification and digitalization to its identity with its new design language. Skoda has also revealed the Vision 7S concept SUV which the brand was teasing every now and then up until now.

The logo is a part of the brand’s ‘Next Level Skoda Strategy 2030’. The logo will be seen from 2024 onwards on the new models. However, the logo and other elements will start appearing on the Infotainment system early on. With this new update, the SKODA name and winged arrow in the ring will be used separately. The new name badge will be placed on both the front and the rear ends of Skoda cars. To make it look more appealing, the S letter of the name gets a little hook, While the winged arrow has been given a simple ad flat form. The process of choosing this logo took over a year with 165 proposed designs and 2,200 respondents from all over the world.

Vision 7S is the first Skoda with a new design language and the new logo. This SUV will start the E-journey of the brand and is made on the modular MEB platform. The new design language defines robust looks, functionality, and authenticity. The power comes from an 89-kWh battery which provides a 600 km range per charge in the WLTP cycle. It also gets fast charging with a maximum supported charging power of just under 200 kW.  It also comes with Relax mode in addition to the drive mode to provide much-enhanced comfort and entertainment while the car is parked.

It comes with Tech-Deck Face for improved aerodynamic and redesigned radiator grille which is flatter and wide compared to the current Skoda grille. The grille also gets dark glass covering the car’s sensors instead of the traditional ribs further refining the aerodynamics are the high-set side tornado line and aerodynamic roof lines. The side of this car features 22-inch wheels with enclosed rims. Being an EV, the Vision 7S will be equipped with a revamped cooling system. The orange colour accent can be found throughout the car. Vision V7 features new T-shaped headlights with an ambient light strip and new rear lights. 

The interior of this car comes with revised graphics and control logic with the largest touchscreen in Skoda cars which is 14.6 inches large. The virtual cockpit gets an 8.8-inch display, the steering wheel gets a new design with a flat top and bottom. The cabin also features an augmented-reality head-up display. The two large spokes of the steering wheel are at 6 and 12 o’clock. the steering wheel also gets special haptic scroll wheels in bright orange accents for easier orientation. The Vision 7S will get a matt Explorer Green colour on the outside while the interior will come in a subtle matt metallic finish.

Skoda is planning on launching three new all-electric cars by 2026. This will include the seven-seater family car Vision 7S, a compact SUV and a small car. With an aim of holding 70% of the all-electric car models in Europe by 2030. The brand is working on its highly efficient combustion engines and is planning to introduce a new generation of Superb and Kodiaq in the second half of next year with a modernized Octavia slated for 2024.
